Ms. Gayla M. Kidd, Director, Huntsville Assistance Program
Gayla is a native Alabamian born in Winston County. The family moved to south Florida when she was 12; she earned a college degree in interior design and she returned to Alabama in 1983. Gayla joined HAP in its infancy and has seen it grow from seven churches to over seventy. She was God called into benevolent ministry and she knows this is where God intends her to be. Gayla not only provides physical needs to clients but offers counseling and encouragement for them to become self sufficient. Through her diligence HAP is a front line warrior to bring the message of Jesus Christ to all who enter its portals. She works closely with other like organizations to coordinate shared benevolent needs when necessary. Gayla has exemplary work standards, has a pleasing personally and is respected by her peers and those who work with and know her.
